A Leather Goods Manufacturing Company Sustains Industrial Peace
The Notice of Strike in a leather goods manufacturing company in Antipolo City was settled, Dir. Edgar G. Aquino announced today.
Citing a report from the handling Conciliator-Mediator Michelle Jean O. Reñido, the case stemmed when the Union filed a Notice of Strike on July 15, 2021 on the issues of wage increase and signing bonus.
After five meetings or a little over a month of conciliation-mediation conferences, the parties accepted each other’s offer and amicably settled their labor dispute.
The 250 union members benefitted the more or less P3.6 Million CBA economic package for the remaining two years of their contract.
Through the skills and untiring efforts of Conciliator-Mediator Michelle Jean O. Reñido, she was able to convince the union and management to settle their difference through transparency.
“Transparency is one of the key factors in sustaining harmonious relationship in an organization”, Aquino said.
”This mental attitude helps the Samahang Manggagawa ng Ponderosa Leather Goods Co. Inc. and Ponderosa Leather Goods Co. Inc. inked their CBA”, he added.
