A Finance Officer Settles Claim Through SEnA
The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Board Branch IVA, Imus Office, facilitated the settlement of a Request for Assistance by a finance/accounting officer who had worked for ten (10) months in one of the well-known BPO in Imus, Cavite.
The requesting party, Mr. Edwin C. Javines, sought the assistance of this Branch on May 31, 2021 on alleged non-payment of his last salary for the period from March 9 to 28, 2021 and pro-rated 13th month pay. He also requested a copy of his SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG monthly contributions.
In the June 10, 2021 initial conference, it was validated that the requesting party tendered his resignation on March 16, 2021 due to chronic illness, thus, the claim of his due benefits.
Atty. Brenn A. Doctor, management legal counsel, alleged that Mr. Javines’ last salary was held due to the on-going investigation on the alleged erroneous accounting/financial reports he submitted.
Plant-level discussion was agreed upon by the parties to address the issues prior to the next conference set on June 17, 2021.
On said date, management offered a settlement in the amount of P52,401.67 representing Mr. Javines’ last salary,13th month pay and tax refund in the current, which the latter accepted and he executed a Quitclaim and Release in favor of Callax Solutions, Inc.
The company is a multinational one operating with state-of-the-art facilities located in the USA, Dominican Republic and the Philippines. A branch office is located at Aguinaldo Highway, Imus, Cavite. It specializes in telemarketing inbound call services, such as outsourcing of customer services and database management.
